A joint initiative between Industry Canada and the Cultural Human Resources Council, this is a specialized online recruitment network focusing on the Canadian cultural industry. It aims to help "artists, creators, producers, technicians and administrators... find jobs and recruit employees." After registering online and obtaining a free password, job seekers can view career opportunities or take advantage of a variety of other employment services. Dozens of employers post new jobs every week.
Employers: No cost to post opportunities within your company, create your own customized profile and search the résumé database for eligible candidates.
Aboriginal Youth Employment Network

Canada job bank for Aboriginal youth. Searchable by province, with a page of job opportunities for each province. The site also includes a resume bank and general information on job hunting geared to Aboriginal youth. Employers: Job ads are free and are posted through an online form. Employers are asked to classify the job under non-technical, professional or technical, and to provide other details such as job description, salary, location and qualifications.

This website allows users to search by keyword or location through a database of seasonal and part-time job opportunities, such as camp directors, hotel dishwashers and whitewater rafting guides. Although an international job bank, it carries mostly American postings (i.e. 300 U.S. jobs vs. 30 Canadian).
Employers: Free job posting site Read guidelines as to the kind of information to include, and then submit online form. Includes links to e-mail and website. Employers are responsible for deleting their own ads, or ads are deleted automatically after 90 days.

Within the specified category, you will find lists of jobs -- for example, in the writers category, there are requests for grantwriters, newsletter editors and magazine freelance writers. Employers: Posting your job ad is free. Employers are supplied with a password so they can modify their own ad in the future.
