POSITION SUMMARY:

A Freight Broker is required for our client organization.  The incumbent must have several years of experience in transportation with a focus on booking, tracking and tracing, billing and providing superior customer service. This position provides the opportunity to learn and grow in a friendly and open-minded environment and requires a professional with excellent communication skills, dedication, and a sense of responsibility. 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Coordinating freight moves for inbound and outbound freight
Tracking Orders
Booking shipments and invoicing for carriers
Monitoring billing and safety reports
Customer relations such as shipment information, complaints, rate inquiries, and negotiations
Process orders from the initial pick-up to the final delivery in order to ensure a high level of efficiency and total customer satisfaction
Handle customer service in calls in a customer-focused environment
Monitor shipments and maintain communication with customers on issues of importance
Follow up with customers to ensure their satisfaction while encouraging additional business
Plan and organize workflow, and follow up to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks and to provide assistance as required
Ensure that deliveries are completed successfully
Coordinate shipments with a diverse customer base

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Familiar with freight and shipment terminology
Experienced in booking shipments with carriers and freight brokers
Experienced in working with various transportation software programs
Able to multitask and prioritize effectively
Familiar with transborder transportation regulations
Excellent command of English, written and verbal
Eager to learn and grow in a progressive working environment
