Microsoft SQL Server DBA
Location: Marine Corps Intelligence Activity, Quantico, VA
Experience:  Junior to Mid Level
Clearance:  TS/SCI
Description/Duties:  Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator providing enterprise support of development, test, and production environments for the Marine Corps Intelligence Activity.  Flexible schedule/hours can be negotiated.
•         assist with implementation and maintenance of clustered SQL Server systems
•         provide ongoing assessment of database performance and identification of problem areas
•         perform database backups
•         provide trend analysis to management
•         automate common maintenance and monitoring tasks to be rolled in to IT operations management system
 
Qualifications:
•         Bachelors degree
•         In depth Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 Database administration experience
•         Operational support of multiple database systems
•         Working knowledge of SQL Server Clustering/HA
•         Experience with Transactional SQL  and DTS stored procedures
•         database design and administration
 
Preferred Additional Skills:
•         Windows 2003/2008
•         Professional Certifications
•         ability to work independently
•         Oracle experience
