Job Title: Artists Program Coordinator
Description
Youth Employment Services (YES), a non-profit, community organization that delivers English-language job-search and self-employment services to Quebecers is seeking an Artists Program Coordinator.
 
The person will be responsible for managing and growing this unique program that provides career and self-employment support services to artists of all disciplines.
 
The successful candidate must be familiar with the arts community and have business experience or training. They will be responsible for:
  • coaching clients,
  • facilitating workshops and working with various stakeholders including volunteers and partner organizations.
 
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, flexible, and passionate about the arts.
Skills required:
• Familiarity with the arts community including associations, grantors, schools
• Business coaching experience 
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a team player with solid organizational and time management skills;
• Able to work independently;
• Task and detailed oriented;
• Outstanding writing skills;
• Database (an asset);
• Experience in the non-profit sector
• Bilingual (English & French);
• Accounting skills (Desirable)
• Workshop facilitation skills
• Strong knowledge of computer systems – Word, Excel, Power Point, access Qualifications:
• Business degree or equivalent
• Minimum of two (2) years experience in a coordination role
• Experience in the arts
