The Carvechi Group is a premier management consulting company focused on Accounting, Finance and Information Technology with a specialization in staffing and the deployment of hardware and software to the commercial and government sectors. We are seeking a Sr. Counsel Credit Direcor

Specific responsibilities include:

Credit matters:

Working with the Company’s Credit Department on developing and implementing credit enhancement strategies (e.g., through security agreements, guarantees, liens, etc.) applicable to the United States and foreign jurisdictions

Collections matters:

Working with the Company’s Credit Department in determining when formal legal action should be taken and supervising U.S. and foreign outside counsel in the handling of collections related legal proceedings.

The Sr. Counsel Credit & Collections will report to the General Counsel and will work directly with the Credit & Risk department as well as commercial teams for all business segments.

BACKGROUND AND SKILLS:

The ideal candidate should have significant experience as a general commercial litigator with emphasis on collections matters and solid grounding in bankruptcy laws. Individuals with international experience and a combination of law firm and in-house experience at corporations with global businesses will be particularly well suited for this role.

Required:
• 7+ years of commercial litigation or bankruptcy experience, with emphasis in the areas of collections and/or judgment enforcement in multiple countries.
• J.D. and admission to at least one U.S. State or foreign Bar
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills. At ease working in multicultural environment and ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels in the organization
• Complete fluency in English (oral and written)
• Professional presence and absolute integrity

Desirable:
• Bankruptcy experience in multiple countries
• Familiarity with the aviation industry
• Prior in-house experience
• Fluency in additional languages
