| Job Title: Senior Camp Counselor |

| Employment Dates:
June 16 to August 22, 2008 (10 weeks)
Duties/Responsibilities
Under the leadership of the Camp Director, the Senior Camp Counselor will supervise the day to day
activities of the children. Assist in the planning, development and leadership of camp activities and
follow the program outline;
Create a safe and structured environment for children to learn and to explore throughout the day;
Assist children in developing skill in sports activities and refresh their knowledge in Math and English;
Teach arts and crafts, and healthy eating;
Work effectively within an integrated setting by meeting the needs of all campers;
Deal effectively with camp supervisors, peers, participants and the public;
Accompany children to various outings in the community & ensure that children are safe and
accounted for at all time;
Show children how to respect themselves, their peers and others in the community;
Carry out all duties that provide quality customer service;
Other duties as assigned by the Camp Director.
Requirements
- Must be 15+ years by 1st day of camp
- Must have a valid CPR and First Aid Certificate
- Must have a current and clear police reference check
- Able to work flexible hours
- Able to work in a structured environment
- Possess sound child management skills
- Previous camp experience or leadership training is a definite asset
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Must have a sincere interest in working with children.
- Must submit a resume and two personal references.
